After installing new MOD for preventing from spambot registration attack to id-ubuntu bulletin board i receive so many email goin to my /trash folder send by the MOD fiture (could be set to off) that inform me about the attempt,

Another Problem after Feisty update

Another problem are showd up after i update my feisty ( u could also read journey to feisty ; welcome feisty by edgy) and before this, ive already found some bug (u could read feisty are arrived) because of upgrading. Now after i upgrade my kernel to 2.6.20-16 via apt ( i also found that my virtualbox not working), i found that my alsamixer wont work and after some troubleshoot i realize that my alsa driver also not working

I dont know exactly when this problem occurs because it seems my XMMS still working but then i relaize that my XMMS using OSS Driver for Output Plugins (which means im not able using ALSA), ive already try to fix it, also found some good reference at #88570 , #103379, #80893, but the problems still occurs, now i upgrade my ALSA to version 1.0.14, but im not restarting yet :) . Ill post later after the reboot :)

I also found that my XINE player not working anymore but im still focusing on ALSA problem, so if u have the same problem or u know what happens and how to fix it ? :P maybe we could share here

note : this is my laptop specs

After i upgraded the ALSA driver to version 1.0.14 and reboot the problem is gone

Your VirtualBox not working?

Is your VirtualBox not working, after kernel update?, I found this problem occurs when i update my kernel version to 2.6.20-16 from kernel 2.6.20-15 via apt-get, to fix this problem and get your VirtualBox working again, u could do this step to recompiling your virtual box kernel module
